Cohort PLC - Reading, England-based technology firm - Completes its takeover of Brisbane, Australia-based naval communications firm EM Solutions Pty Ltd. It will operate as the seventh stand-alone business within Cohort, reporting through the Communications & Intelligence division. Cohort PLC - Reading, England-based technology firm - Says its German subsidiary, ELAC Sonar GmbH, has received a contract amendment to the value of EUR16.4 million, for the delivery of a sonar system to an additional unit of the Italian Navy's new build submarine programme. The amendment brings the 2021 contract's total value up to EUR100 million, and covers the supply of sonar systems to four submarines. Read More

The rapid-reaction system is capable of firing a variety of NATO-standard lightweight torpedoes. The contract is signed by the Canadian subsidiary of Cohort's SEA arm. Work will start immediately and is expected to be completed in 2030.
