Botswana Diamonds PLC - Botswana and South Africa-focused diamond explorer - Intends to apply AI techniques to its Botswana database, which contains 375,000 kms of geophysical data, and 32,000 drill holes logs, using Planetary AI Ltd's Xplore mineral prospectivity technology. Chair John Teeling says: "Our mineral database in Botswana is simply vast...Massive databases are suited to analysis by computer-based large data models and artificial intelligence techniques which can analyse substantial amounts of data in a short time. We feed in the data and create the models from our existing knowledge both theoretical and factual. The techniques then produce results. Where it finds inconsistencies or gaps it adapts. Botswana Diamonds PLC - Botswana and South Africa-focused diamond explorer - Completes gravity survey over four high-grade geophysical targets near a kimberlite pipe in Botswana. At least one of the four targets, which is located six kilometres south of the existing KX36 diamond discovery, has an "excellent" gravity response, it says. The survey on the KX36 size anomaly is being repeated and correlated with previous results for confirmation. Adds that the next step is to begin drilling. "The new kimberlites targets have great potential to upgrade the existing resources in the area, including at the Ghaghoo mine, which is currently under care and maintenance and only 60 km away from the KX36 project," says Botswana Diamonds. Botswana Diamonds PLC - Botswana and South Africa-focused diamond explorer - Says four anomalies have been spotted close to the KX36 asset in Kalahari. Says it is likely that there are undiscovered buried kimberlites, which usually occur in clusters and not in isolation. Chair John Teeling says: "Kimberlites occur in clusters, currently only KX36 has been discovered in this particular kimberlite field in the Kalahari so there should be more kimberlites waiting to be discovered. This work forms part of our emerging Kalahari strategy which could lead to this area being a major diamond producer." Read More
