Hitachi Ltd - Tokyo-based conglomerate involved in technology, renewable energy, healthcare and infrastructure services - Completes the acquisition of digital rail monitoring business Omnicom from Balfour Beatty PLC, the London-based infrastructure group operating in construction services, support services and infrastructure investments. Hitachi says strategic acquisition supports the growth of Hitachi Rail's HMAX digital asset management platform.
