Bigblu Broadband PLC - The broadband services provider formerly called formerly Satellite Solutions Worldwide Group PLC - announces plans to return up to GBP6.1 million to shareholders through a tender offer for up to 15.3 million shares at 40 pence each. This follows Bigblu's announcement in December of the completion of the sale of Australian subsidiary SkyMesh, upon which it received a cash payment of AUD30.0 million or around GBP14.9 million. At around that time, Bigblu had disclosed its intention to "return any surplus cash to shareholders". The tender offer is being effected by Cavendish, the company's corporate broker. Read More

Bigblu Broadband PLC - London-based broadband service provider - Confirms in response to Australian media reports that it is in discussions with Melbourne-based alternative investment manager Salter Brothers for a deal involving subsidiary SkyMesh. Says the potential transaction "is in line with the board's stated strategy to assess all options to realise value and maximise returns for shareholders from its operating assets". SkyMesh, which provides internet connectivity services to customers in regional and rural Australia, is headquartered in Brisbane. Says progress is seen on all business units in terms of product offerings and costs reduction. Adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation rises 3.2% to GBP2.1 million from GBP2.0 million a year before.
