Anglesey Mining PLC - mining company with operations in Wales, Sweden and Canada - Enters binding letter of intent with Energold Minerals, its largest shareholder and largest creditor, and says the deal will "allow for a comprehensive restructuring and improvement of the balance sheet". The deal enables Anglesey to eliminate GBP4 million of debt in exchange for its stake in Grangesberg Iron and Labrador Iron Mines holding, reducing its outstanding debt to approximately GBP100,000. Company also says that Energold has agreed to invest GBP350,000 in Anglesey through the purchase of non-voting exchangeable warrants. Energold President Brendan Cahill, "an experienced executive in the mining sector", and former VVV Resources Ltd executive chair Jim Williams, will both join Anglesey's board upon the closure of the warrant offering. Anglesey Mining PLC - mining company with operations in Wales, Sweden and Canada - Announces the formal submission on July 31 of the environmental impact assessment scoping report for the Parys Mountain mine to the North Wales Minerals & Waste Planning Service. Says this "important project milestone" follows "almost two years of extensive studies and work" with expenditure totalling nearly GBP300,000, and is part of the first stage in the EIA process. Says the scoping report "sets out the project's perceived impacts, specifically identifying any crucial and significant impacts". Notes that at this stage "the project description remains indicative and will be refined following ongoing mining engineering studies, economic analysis and discussions with neighbours, the wider community and other stakeholders". Anglesey Mining PLC - mining company with operations in Wales, Sweden and Canada - Assays show NCZ003 well at northern copper zone of Parys Mountain asset in Wales "intersected a significant zone of mineralisation". The firm says: "As with the previous two holes in the programme, NCZ003 intersected both broad zones of mineralisation and multiple higher-grade zones. Importantly, the drilling is demonstrating good continuity and further supports the integrity of the geological model and drill targeting, with indications of greater mineralised volumes overall." He is a mining engineer with 29 years of international experience and held technical, operational and management roles at Rio Tinto PLC for 18 years. Interim Chair Andrew King says: "Having already spent some time with him at Parys Mountain, it is clear Rob has the skillset to oversee the evolution and development of Parys Mountain and, like us, he is enthused by the latest drilling results and grade continuity.
