("MAXjet" or the "Company") US GOVERNMENT APPROVAL RECEIVED FOR OPEN SKIES OPERATIONS NEW APPLICATION FOR US-CHINA NONSTOP SERVICE COMMENCING 2009 MAXjet today announces that it has received approval from the United StatesDepartment of Transportation to operate nonstop services from the United Statesto all Open Skies points. This includes new Open Skies partners in the EuropeanUnion starting 30 March 2008, the date the new bilateral agreement between theUS and EU takes effect. Specifically for MAXjet's operation at London Stansted, this approval includes: • the right to operate from any point in the United States to London Stansted, and; • effective 30 March 2008 the right to continue flights originating in the United States via London Stansted to other Open Skies points beyond, to the extent that the applicable aviation agreement grants such rights. Major Open Skies partners of the United States beyond London Stansted includeIndia, Kuwait, Maldives, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Singapore, Thailand,and United Arab Emirates. In addition MAXjet announces that it has applied for service between the UnitedStates and China effective in 2009. MAXjet has applied for a daily servicebetween Shanghai, China and Seattle, Washington, with continuing same-planeservice to Los Angeles, California. MAXjet anticipates that the service willcommence on 25 March 2009. Introducing MAXjet service to China in 2009 will: • bring needed low fare competition into the capacity-constrained US-China market; • significantly increase business class capacity between the US and China, addressing the shortage of product appropriate for transpacific corporate travel; • introduce the first nonstop link between the US Pacific Northwest and China; • allow customers to connect from MAXjet onto other domestic low-fare airlines to points across the United States • underlines the potential of the all-business class model to routes outside of the traditional transatlantic services "As our route network develops, we are making plans for growth in 2008 andbeyond," said Bill Stockbridge, CEO.
