Operations Update
Ubuntu Mining & Metals Inc. (AQSE: UNTU) is pleased to provide the following update on its Dilotiko Iron Ore Project, ongoing licence approvals process and broader corporate developments.
Name Change
Following the successful completion of its name change to Ubuntu Mining and Metals, Inc., the Company confirms that its new corporate website is now live at www.ubuntuminingandmetals.com.
The website reflects the Company's renewed identity and strategic direction as a dedicated mining and metals business.
Update on the Dilotiko Iron Ore Project
The Company and Dilotiko Limited ("Dilotiko") are continuing to actively engage with key stakeholders in Kenya to allow it to advance the Dilotiko Iron Ore Project and accelerate it towards a producing and cash generating asset.
A Mining Permit application over the Dilotiko Project area was lodged and accepted in January 2025 by the Kenyan Ministry of Mines. The application is currently undergoing final evaluation ahead of its expected approval, and the Company looks forward to providing a further update on this process in due course.
The Dilotiko Iron Ore Project is an advanced, high-grade hematite and magnetite iron ore project located on a 220-acre site approximately 20km from Voi, Taita Taveta County's largest town with direct access to Kenya's main road and rail infrastructure extending to Mombasa Port. Historical exploration has confirmed an initial preliminary resource estimate of 22.2 million tonnes of iron ore, with metallurgical analyses demonstrating iron grades of up to 63%.
Broader Exploration and Acquisition and Growth Strategy
With the full establishment of Ubuntu following its successful name change, the Company is concurrently seeking and advancing mining and exploration prospects of high-value and advanced metals and mining projects in Africa that meet the Company's acquisition and growth strategy.
The Company is also actively advancing collaborative agreements for future operations within Taita Taveta County in Kenya with community representatives and ones which are highly complimentary to its plans at the Dilotiko Iron Ore Project.
Ubuntu intends to build a diversified portfolio of mineral assets that it believes will add significant shareholder value and will provide further updates in due course as additional opportunities are assessed and progressed.
