OPERATIONAL UPDATE: 10KG GOLD PRODUCED IN AUGUST
Amigo Resources PLC (LSE: AMGO) is pleased to present an operational update on its gold production activities in Tanzania.
Highlights
· August Production Milestone: Achieved total gold production of 10 kilograms during August 2026.
· 100% Gravity-Based Recovery: All gold recovered to date has been produced entirely through physical gravity concentration (free gold), without chemical reagents or leaching.
· Initial Gravity Circuit Commissioned: Primary gravity circuits at Mojimoto and Kabete are fully operational. A temporary startup bottleneck was resolved, with routine optimisation ongoing.
· Structured Monthly Reporting: Following gravity circuit stabilisation, Amigo targets the formalisation and resumption of its regular monthly operational reporting (covering production, physical sales, and realised revenue) starting in October 2026.
· Stockpiling for Secondary Processing: Gravity tailings are being systematically stockpiled on-site for secondary chemical leaching to maximise total metallurgical recovery.
· Leaching Circuit Mobilisation: Fabrication and procurement of chemical leaching equipment - including heavy-duty slurry tanks and high-capacity pumps - are underway, with site installation and commissioning targeted for early Q4 2026.
· Plant Expansion On Schedule: High-capacity grinding and crushing equipment is in transit to Tanzania, with commissioning of the expanded plant remaining on track for early Q4 2026.
Gold Production and Plant Development
During August 2026, Amigo's Tanzanian operations at Mojimoto and Kabete produced 10 kilograms of gold following the successful commissioning of the primary gravity circuit.
Gold recovered to date has been produced exclusively through physical gravity concentration, utilising water and mineral density differentials to isolate free gold without chemical reagents. Residual process materials and tailings are being systematically stockpiled on-site. This strategy enables early cash flow generation through free gold extraction while preserving high-grade tailings for secondary treatment.
The upcoming chemical leaching phase will incorporate heavy-duty slurry tanks, high-capacity pumps, and automated Carbon-in-Leach (CIL) circuits. Construction of this secondary circuit is progressing on schedule for targeted commissioning in early Q4 2026. Subject to final metallurgical confirmation and operational commissioning, processing stockpiled tailings through the leaching circuit is expected to significantly increase total gold recovery rates.
An operational bottleneck encountered within the gravity circuit during initial August startup has been fully resolved. Routine technical optimisation continues as the Company scales plant throughput, while continuously addressing local grid power stability and equipment reliability.
Following the stabilisation of the initial gravity circuit and the transition to larger-scale operations, Amigo targets initiating regular monthly operational reporting on gold production, sales, and revenue starting in October 2026. Future throughput rates and recovery milestones remain conditional on the timely installation of the expanded plant, ore feed characteristics, and ongoing metallurgical performance.
Next Phase of Plant Development
Following proven free gold recovery through primary gravity circuits, Amigo's immediate operational priority is expanding processing capacity across Mojimoto and Kabete through two key objectives:
· Capacity Expansion: Installing larger gravity-separation machinery to increase run-of-mine ore throughput and maximise free gold capture.
· Secondary Recovery Circuit: Completing the chemical leaching circuit to optimise total metallurgical recovery per tonne of ore processed.
Procurement for the expanded processing plant was previously completed by the Company's Tanzanian subsidiaries. Equipment is currently in transit to site, with delivery, installation, and commissioning expected in early Q4 2026.
Craig Ransley, Executive Chair of Amigo Resources PLC, commented:
"Achieving 10 kilograms of gold production strictly through gravity recovery represents critical operational validation of Amigo's processing model in Tanzania. While we encountered a minor processing bottleneck during the initial August startup, our site team resolved the issue swiftly and effectively.
With gravity-only recovery proven, our immediate focus turns toward completing the installation and commissioning of the expanded plant in early Q4 2026. This next phase will allow us to process stockpiled tailings through integrated secondary circuits, optimising total metallurgical recovery per tonne and driving long-term value across our Tanzanian assets.
Having established a stable operational foundation, Amigo looks forward to commencing its formal monthly reporting cycle on gold production, sales, and revenue starting in October 2026."
