HEYWOOD WILLIAMS GROUP PLC Heywood Williams Group PLC ("the Company") advises that in accordance with the FSA's Disclosure Rules and Transparency Rules Sourcebook, it received notice on 23 September 2009 from Barclays PLC ("Barclays") on behalf of Barclays Stockbrokers Ltd and Gerrard Investment Management Ltd advising that as a result of an acquisition of shares on 17 September 2009 Barclays now has an indirect interest in the voting rights of 5,523,844 of the Company's ordinary shares. As a result Barclays' holding has crossed the 6% threshold and represents 6.51% of the Company's issued share capital.
