The Company announces that, pursuant to Chapter 5 of the Financial Services Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, it received formal notification on 24 July 2008 that as at 23 July 2008 Barclays plc no longer had a notifiable interest in the ordinary shares of the Company.
The ordinary shares referred to above are the ordinary shares of 5 pence each in the Company.
