Engagement with Bahrain Economic Development Board
Active Energy Group plc (AIM: AEG, OTCID: AEUSF), the digital infrastructure and energy platform focused on the Gulf Cooperation Council ("GCC") region, is pleased to announce that representatives of the Company have been invited to meet with senior officials from the Bahrain Economic Development Board ("Bahrain EDB") during a forthcoming GCC digital infrastructure event taking place in London.
The Company expects to meet with Musab Abdulla, Executive Director of ICT at Bahrain EDB, to discuss the continued growth of digital infrastructure across the Gulf region and explore potential opportunities within the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The meeting forms part of a wider industry event being held in partnership with the Gulf Data Centre Alliance, bringing together investors, operators, infrastructure providers and government stakeholders involved in the rapidly expanding GCC digital infrastructure sector.
Active Energy believes Bahrain represents an attractive market within the Gulf region, benefiting from a supportive regulatory environment, increasing demand for digital infrastructure and a strategic position within the wider GCC ecosystem.
The Company has successfully established its initial operational footprint within the United Arab Emirates and continues to evaluate opportunities to expand its regional presence through the deployment of modular digital infrastructure solutions and strategic local partnerships.
While discussions remain at an early stage and there can be no certainty that any commercial arrangements or projects will result from these engagements, the Board views participation in such events as an important component of its broader GCC growth strategy.
Pankaj Rajani, Non-Executive Chairman of Active Energy, commented:
"The GCC continues to represent one of the most attractive growth regions globally for digital infrastructure deployment. Following the progress we have made in establishing operations within the UAE, we are pleased to engage with Bahrain EDB and other regional stakeholders to better understand opportunities across the wider Gulf market.
Bahrain has developed a strong reputation as a technology and digital infrastructure hub, and we look forward to exploring how Active Energy's experience in developing and operating modular digital infrastructure projects may support future opportunities within the Kingdom."
The Company will provide further updates as appropriate.
