Aminex is pleased to announce the appointment of Philip Thompson as an Independent Non-Executive Director, with effect from 1 October 2026.

Philip Thompson was previously the Chief Operating Officer of Aminex from August 2013 to August 2016 and an executive director of Aminex from March 2014 to August 2016, when he resigned from both roles. Philip is a geophysicist who has spent his career working on international energy projects, including in Africa. In 2002, he founded San Leon Energy which listed on AIM in 2008 and had grown to a market capitalisation of approximately £275 million by 2011 when he stepped down to co-found Canyon Oil and Gas Limited. Canyon was taken over by Aminex in February 2014. Given the period of time that has elapsed since his prior involvement with the Company, the Board considers Philip to be independent. Philip has a holding of approx. 24 million shares in Aminex.

Philip will be appointed as a member of the Company's Audit and Risk, Remuneration and Nomination Committees.

Aminex confirms that no matters require disclosure regarding these appointments under Listing Rule 6.4.8R.
