The Board of Theo Fennell PLC, the AIM listed jeweller, today announces the resignation of Charles Carter, as a non-executive director and appointment of Roger Pedder as a non-executive director; both with immediate effect. Charles joined the board 15 years ago and has been an invaluable asset to the Group. The Board wish to thank him for his advice and guidance and wish him well in the future.
The Board also announces the appointment of Roger Anthony Pedder as a non-executive director. Roger Pedder (aged 67) is one of the retail industry's most experienced operators. He has previously been Chairman of C&J Clark Ltd (Clarks Shoes) and Robert Dyas Ltd. Currently he is Chairman or a Non Executive Director of several privately and family owned businesses and serves as Treasurer of the University of Bath.
Commenting on the resignation and appointment, Richard Northcott, Chairman of Theo Fennell PLC said: "We are extremely grateful to Charlie for all his work over the past 15 years.
We are delighted that Roger is joining us. He has an in-depth understanding of the retail industry and has been involved in a number of private equity led ventures. In addition, he has advised a number of start-up companies and been involved in several turnaround situations. He will be a key addition to the Board and joins at this exciting time in our development."

(1) Roger Pedder resigned as a director of Laminate Flooring Direct plc on 18 February 2005. On 9 March 2005 Laminate Flooring Direct plc appointed administrators and is currently in voluntary creditors liquidation.
(2) Roger Pedder resigned as a director of Ethel Austin Retail Limited on 16 February 2006. Ethel Austin Retail Limited was subject to a voluntary members liquidation in May 2007 and was subsequently dissolved on 1 December 2007. The assets of Ethel Austin Retail Limited were transferred into Noteframe Limited. Roger Pedder resigned as a director of Noteframe Limited on 14 March 2008. Noteframe Limited was placed into administration on 15 April 2008 by its subsequent owners.
