Directorate Change - Appointment

Information disclosed in accordance with paragraph 6.4.6R of the Financial Conduct Authority's UK Listing Rules.

Following a formal recruitment process and a search conducted by an independent agency, the Board of the Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Donald Cameron as a non-executive director of the Company with effect from 30 July 2026.

Donald has a deep knowledge of the investment trust sector and related legal and regulatory requirements. He has been a non-executive director of Murray Income Trust PLC and Edinburgh Worldwide Investment Trust plc and was chair of the Audit Committee of the latter company for five years. He is a qualified barrister/advocate and has also served as an MSP and government minister. He was made a member of the House of Lords in February 2024.

Donald, and his Persons Closely Associated to him, do not own any Ordinary shares or B shares in the Company and his election will be proposed to shareholders for approval at the Annual General Meeting of the Company to be held in 2027.

There is no other information required to be disclosed pursuant to Listing Rule 6.4.8R of the Financial Conduct Authority's UK Listing Rules in relation to this appointment.
