Home Group Announce New CEO
National housing association Home Group has appointed a new chief executive.
The Newcastle-based organisation has appointed Helen Meehan to take the helm at the 57,000-home social landlord.
Helen, who is currently Home Group's chief financial officer, will take up the role in September this year. She will take over from current chief executive, Mark Henderson, who has led the organisation since 2008.
Helen brings a wealth of experience from within the sector, as well as from outside it.
She became Home Group's chief financial officer in 2022, having previously been director of finance. Helen joined Home Group in 2015 as director of audit, having previously worked at PwC for ten years in their assurance services team.
John Cridland, chairman of Home Group, said: "I am delighted to announce that Helen will be our new chief executive.
"The Board has undertaken a rigorous assessment process over the last few months, attracting a very strong list of applicants from across the UK, but Helen demonstrated she was best placed to take us forward.
"I would also like to put on record my sincere thanks to Mark, for his outstanding years of service."
