Alba Mineral Resources Plc
("Alba" or the "Company")
Change of Name to Arkadian Strategic Metals Plc
Alba Mineral Resources Plc (AIM: ALBA), the gold and strategic metals focused exploration and development company, is pleased to announce that the Company is changing its name to Arkadian Strategic Metals Plc.
The change of name is intended to better reflect the Company's broadened portfolio. The Company will continue to advance its Welsh gold assets, including the Clogau-St David's Gold Mine, while also building its exposure to strategic metals through its majority stake in the Motzfeldt Critical Metals Project in Greenland, which acquisition was recently approved by the Government of Greenland (see the Company's RNS of 14 May 2026).
The Company's Welsh gold assets remain a core part of its strategy and asset base. The Board continues to recognise the significant investment made to date at the Clogau-St David's Gold Mine, the unique heritage value of Welsh gold and the long-term potential of the wider Dolgallau Gold Belt. These assets will continue to provide direct exposure to gold alongside the Company's strategic metal interests.
The Company will advise once the name change has become effective and when the Company's shares are due to commence trading on AIM under its new name. The Company's ticker will change in due course from ALBA to AKN, however the Company's ISIN and SEDOL will remain unchanged. Existing share certificates held by shareholders remain valid and should be retained. Any new share certificates issued after the name change has become effective will bear the name Arkadian Strategic Metals Plc. The Company's website address will also change shortly to arkadianmetals.com.
George Frangeskides, Alba's Executive Chairman, commented:
"The renaming of the Company to Arkadian Strategic Metals Plc marks a clear statement of intent. Global supply chains for critical and strategic metals are undergoing structural change, with governments and industry increasingly focused on securing reliable, Western-aligned sources of supply. Our strategic metal assets, particularly at Motzfeldt in Greenland, position us within this emerging strategic landscape.
"At the same time, we remain committed to Clogau-St David's and our other Welsh gold assets, which continue to represent an important and distinctive part of our portfolio. We believe this combination of gold and strategic metals provides shareholders with both geopolitical relevance and commodity diversification as we advance the Company into its next phase of growth."
