Rift Oil PLC15 June 2007 For immediate release 15 June 2007 Rift Oil PLC Change of Broker and Nominated Adviser Board Appointment Rift Oil PLC, ("RIFT" or the "Company"), announces the appointment of RBCCapital Markets ("RBC") as Nominated Adviser and broker to the Company withimmediate effect. RIFT is also pleased to announce the appointment of John Bentley to the Board asnon-executive director with immediate effect. In the last fifteen years Mr Bentley, aged 59, has worked with variousmultinationals in the natural resource sector in Africa, South America, NorthAmerica and Europe, including the Gencor Group and Energy Africa where he tookit through the listing process in South Africa and became CEO for five years.Most recently he was Executive Chairman of FirstAfrica Oil plc from September2006 overseeing its takeover by BowLeven plc in February 2007.
