Appointment of Non-Executive Director

AVI Global Trust plc (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Seema Paterson as a non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 1 September 2026.

Seema is a Chartered Accountant, having qualified with Arthur Andersen, and is an experienced non-executive Director, Audit Chair and Chief Financial Officer, with over 25 years' experience across listed investment trusts, private equity-backed and founder-led businesses. She brings expertise in capital markets, IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, financial governance and shareholder engagement.

Seema has significant board-level experience and is currently a non-executive director and Chair of the Audit Committee at CQS Natural Resources Growth and Income plc, and a non-executive director and Audit Chair designate of Baillie Gifford UK Growth Trust plc.

Seema is currently also the Chief Financial Officer of This Works Products Limited (from which she will be stepping down prior to joining as a non-executive Director of the Company). Prior to this, she held senior executive positions, including Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Nails Inc Limited, Head of Corporate Affairs at Lendingcrowd, Head of Corporate Development at Tangent Communications plc and Managing Director, Corporate Finance of Collins Stewart Europe Limited.

On appointment, Seema will join the Audit, Nomination and Management Engagement Committees. As previously disclosed, Calum Thomson will retire from the Board at this year's AGM and Seema will take over the role of Chair of the Audit Committee on Calum's retirement.
