Appointment of Director

The Board of Aberdeen Asian Income Fund Limited (the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has agreed to appoint Martin Rowley as an independent non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 1 June 2026.

Martin is a Jersey resident and has over 30 years of international tax experience. Prior to his retirement from professional practice and taking up his responsibilities as a Director of the Company, he has been a Partner of Deloitte, serving as Head of Deloitte's Jersey tax practice and a Partner in the firm's US business tax group. During his career, he has advised clients on corporate and international tax matters in a range of industries spanning offshore jurisdictions including China and India.

As previously announced, having served as a Director since May 2016, Ian Cadby will retire from the Board at the Annual General Meeting to be held on 12 May 2026. Martin's appointment will therefore bring the number of Directors on the Board back to five.

There are no other disclosures required under Section 6.4.8 of the FCA's Listing Rules in relation to Martin Rowley's appointment.
