Barclays PLC31 August 2005 Application has been made to The UK Listing Authority and the London StockExchange for block listings totalling 3,000,000 Ordinary shares of 25p each totrade on the London Stock Exchange and to be admitted to the Official List uponissuance. The shares shall rank pari passu with the existing issued shares ofthe Company. The Block listings consist of 2,000,000 shares to be issued under the BarclaysIncentive Share Option Plan, 500,000 shares under the Renewed 1986 ExecutiveShare Option Scheme and 500,000 shares to be issued under the Woolwich ExecutiveShare Option Plan.
