Zotefoams appoints chair designate before incumbent chair's departure

17th Jan 2023 16:43

(Alliance News) - Zotefoams PLC on Tuesday said it appointed a new chair designate to replace its departing incumbent chair sometime in 2023.

The Croydon, England-based cellular materials technology company said it concluded its search to replace departing Chair Steve Good with the appointment of Lynn Drummond as chair designate & independent non-executive director.

Good's term of office is due to end in 2023, prompting a search process to identify and appoint a new chair. This was led by Zotefoams's senior independent director Douglas Robertson and organisational consulting firm Korn Ferry since mid-2022.

Drummond is currently chair & pro-chancellor at the University of Hertfordshire, alongside being a board mentor at Criticaleye. She was previously a non-executive director at Venture Life Group PLC, RPC Group PLC, Infirst Healthcare, Shield Holdings AG, Allocate Software PLC, Consort Medical PLC and Alimentary Health Ireland.

She also spent 16 years as a managing director within investment banking for Rothschild and worked in the UK Cabinet Office as private secretary to the scientific adviser.

Drummond will take over as chair following Zotefoams' annual general meeting on May 24, at which point incumbent chair Good will retire from the board.

"On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Steve for his significant contribution to the Zotefoams Group and, in particular, his leadership as chair. We wish him the best in his future endeavours," said Robertson.

Chief Executive Officer David Stirling added: "Lynn brings considerable knowledge across a number of functions and sectors, including a long and distinguished career in life sciences. She brings extensive and relevant quoted-company experience and expertise to the group. I look forward to working with her as we focus on delivering the next phase of our growth strategy."

Drummond said of her appointment: "Zotefoams is a pioneer in cellular materials with the purpose of creating optimal material solutions for the benefit of society. I look forward to working with the Board as we focus on delivering long-term, sustainable growth in the interests of all our stakeholders."

Shares in Zotefoams were up 1.6% to 360.00 pence each in London on Tuesday afternoon.
