Winvia says full year to be in line after first half growth

4th Aug 2026 13:27

(Alliance News) - Winvia Entertainment PLC on Tuesday said its first half profit grew and it expects an annual performance in line with expectations.

The London-based technology-led entertainment business is focused on the large and UK prize draw market, and the regulated Romanian online gaming market. It owns two prize draw brands, Best of the Best and Click Competitions.

Winvia said adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation increased 7.5% to GBP17.2 million in the six months that ended June 30, from GBP16.0 million a year before.

The firm said this was achieved "against a background of increased investment in marketing for new [Best of the Best] subscribers."

"With further growth set to be delivered across the business, the group is on track to deliver full year results in line with market expectations," the firm said.

It puts the market adjusted Ebitda view at GBP37.1 million, which would represent an improvement of 19% from GBP31.2 million in 2025.

Active BOTB consumers increased 11%. The BOTB Pass, Winvia's subscription offering, made up 35% of monthly BOTB revenues.

The firm said its Online Gaming segment delivered a "positive" performance.

Since the beginning of July, Winvia has acquired Rev Comps, a UK-based online competition, migrating it into the site's platform. On Monday, it announced a partnership with Premier League football club Aston Villa. It will launch an "Aston Villa-branded prize draw competition", it explained.

Chief Executive Officer Mihai Manoila said: "The group entered the period with significant momentum from the prior year and has delivered a strong performance in H1. Notably, the exceptional growth of our subscription product has significantly reshaped the prize draw segment, increasing subscriber numbers and creating long-term recurring revenue."

Winvia Entertainment shares were 0.4% up at 254.38 pence each on Tuesday afternoon in London.

Winvia expects to release its interim results in September 2026.
