Winvia announces refinancing of banking facilities, aims at expansion

18th Aug 2026 17:28

(Alliance News) - Winvia Entertainment PLC on Tuesday said it has entered a GBP33 million three-year term loan agreement with Barclays Bank to replace its existing loan with Eurobank, aiming to increase its flexibility to grow in the market.

Alongside the term loan, Barclays is providing a GBP5 million revolving acquisition facility. The agreement includes an uncommitted accordion option to increase the total loan amount by GBP15 million.

Winvia, which operates prize draws in the UK and online gaming and casinos in Romania, said the new facilities have been secured "on attractive terms".

Winvia Chief Financial Officer Simon Hay said: "The refinancing with Barclays establishes a secure, long term capital structure with low leverage. Alongside our very healthy net cash position, the new facilities provide substantial funding capability to execute on our pipeline of consolidation opportunities within the fragmented UK prize draw sector."

The company reported a net cash balance of around GBP31.8 million at June 30.

Winvia shares closed down 1.7% at 237.00 pence on Tuesday in London.
