----------

Unilever, up 5.9% at 4,901.25p, 12-month range 3,644.00p-5,542.11p. The consumer goods firm lifts its annual outlook. Unilever's first half pretax profit increases 1.8% to EUR4.66 billion from EUR4.58 billion, with revenue up 0.5% to EUR25.62 billion from EUR25.51 billion. First half underlying sales growth is 4.8%, beating company-compiled consensus of 4.1%. For the second quarter alone, underlying sales growth is 5.8%, ahead of consensus of 4.3%. Unilever now expects underlying sales growth for 2026 within its 4% to 6% multi-year guidance range, "with around 3% underlying volume growth". It previously saw USG for the full year at the bottom end of the 4% to 6% range, with "at least 2% underlying volume growth".

----------

Man Group PLC, up 5.8% at 317.3p, 12-month range 154.25p-327.20p. Shares set new 12-month high on Tuesday and trade around the best level since 2010. Man reports record assets under management of USD253.6 billion at June 30, climbing from USD227.6 billion at the end of 2025. It hails a positive investment performance of USD19.8 billion and net inflows of USD7.1 billion. Net inflows are "3.4% ahead of the industry". "We delivered a strong first half, which demonstrates the evolution of Man Group; the exceptional net inflows and record AUM we are reporting today are the direct result of deliberate, multi-year investments in the diversification of our business. We are now seeing the benefits compound into broad-based growth," Chief Executive Officer Robyn Grew says.

----------

Barclays, down 5.1% at 503.25p, 12-month range 352.60p-554.10p. It ups total income guidance after a strong second quarter led by its investment banking division, but higher costs and a mixed divisional performance saw shares fall. Barclays UK pretax profit is 3% shy consensus in the second quarter, while Barclays Private Bank & Wealth Management is 5% short of consensus and Barclays US Consumer Bank 7% below.

----------

Ceres Power Holdings PLC, down 4.9% at 349.9p, 12-month range 98.05p-872.50p. Doosan Fuel Cell Co Ltd shares slump 22% in Seoul, after a 29% fall on Monday, amid a broader sell-off of renewables stocks. Shares in Ceres, a Horsham, England-based clean energy technology developer, declined 4.2% on Monday and are down more than 25% over the past month.

----------

Polar Capital Technology Trust, down 1.9% at 617.5p, 12-month range 384.00p-743.50p. Among its holdings are New York-listed Nvidia Corp and Advanced Micro Devices Inc, as well as ASML Holding NV and SK Hynix Inc, stocks exposed to a chip sector sell-off. SK Hynix Inc fell 15% in Seoul on Tuesday, Nvidia fell 5.0% in New York on Monday, while AMD shed 5.2%. ASML declined 8.5% in Amsterdam on Monday and lost another 0.7% on Tuesday. The falls came after The Information reported that an unnamed state-backed Chinese manufacturer has started producing domestically developed immersion deep ultraviolet lithography machines, a segment dominated by ASML.

----------

Pacific Horizon Investment Trust, down 5.1% at 1,002.5p, 12-month range 638.00p-1,262.00p. The trust invests in some of the stocks caught up in the chip sector sell-off.
