FTSE 100 & 250 movers in focus:

----------

Smith & Nephew PLC, down 3.4% at 1,073.00 pence, 12-month range 1,050.00p-1,441.50p. Chief Financial Officer John Rogers will leave the company on September 30 to take up an external role in the US. Rogers steps down from the board with immediate effect, and the company has begun a search for a permanent successor. Senior Vice President Finance & Group Controller Pierre Palassian is appointed interim CFO.

----------

Trainline PLC, down 15% at 206.60 pence, 12-month range 178.00p-307.60p. The UK Competition & Markets Authority has opened a formal consumer protection investigation into how mandatory booking fees are presented on its platform under the Digital Markets, Competition & Consumers Act. The CMA is investigating whether mandatory train and coach booking fees are included in the total upfront price shown to customers at the start of the booking process, as part of a wider crackdown on so-called "drip pricing". The investigation follows earlier advisory letters sent to businesses over pricing practices, although the regulator stresses it has not concluded that Trainline has breached consumer law. If it ultimately finds an infringement, the CMA can order customer compensation and impose fines of up to 10% of global turnover.

----------

Oxford Nanopore Technologies PLC, up 6.6% at 130.20 pence, 12-month range 95.61p-215.60p. Reports first-half revenue of GBP116.7 million, up 11% from GBP105.6 million and 12% at constant currency, as its adjusted loss before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation narrows to GBP22.1 million from GBP48.3 million and pretax loss shrinks to GBP44.9 million from GBP69.0 million. The molecular sensing technology company reiterates guidance for adjusted Ebitda breakeven in 2027 and positive free cash flow in 2028, while maintaining 2026 constant-currency revenue growth guidance of 16% to 20%, excluding a one-off USD20 million licensing payment announced after the period. Including the licensing revenue, 2026 constant-currency growth is expected at around 23% to 27%. Oxford Nanopore also unveils new 2030 targets of more than USD700 million in annual revenue and an adjusted Ebitda margin above 15%, supported by accelerating growth in its BioPharma and Clinical businesses.

----------

Ithaca Energy PLC, up 5.8% at 266.10 pence, 12-month range 149.80p-290.80p. Upgrades its 2026 dividend guidance to USD500 million-USD530 million from USD470 million-USD520 million after reporting record second-quarter production and reaffirming full-year output guidance of 120,000-130,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day. The North Sea producer also declares a first interim dividend of USD255 million and says Rosebank remains on track for first production in the first half of 2027.

----------

Safestore Holdings PLC, down 4.1% at 586.25 pence, 12-month range 554.50p-849.50p. Deutsche Bank cuts the self-storage operator to 'hold' from 'buy' and lowers its price target to 700p from 880p, citing disappointing European self-storage trading since March. The broker points to more aggressive pricing competition, cost inflation and higher property taxes, while weak housing transactions and swap rates are also creating headwinds. Deutsche Bank says further earnings downgrades are likely and sees little catalyst for the shares over the next 12 months, although it believes much of the expected weakness is increasingly priced in.
