FTSE 100 & 250 movers in focus:
----------
International Consolidated Airlines Group SA, up 1.0% at 431.40 pence, 12-month range 342.30p-488.00p. The British Airways owner reports a 16% fall in third-quarter operating profit to EUR1.73 billion from EUR2.05 billion a year earlier, missing company-compiled consensus of EUR1.81 billion, as higher jet fuel prices, lower capacity and disruption weigh on profitability. Revenue rises 4.4% to EUR9.74 billion from EUR9.33 billion, supported by strong long-haul demand, particularly across the North and South Atlantic. IAG says positive revenue trends are continuing into the fourth quarter and 2027, with 85% of expected fourth-quarter bookings secured and first-quarter 2027 bookings described as strong. The airline reaffirms its full-year outlook for an operating margin before exceptional items of at least 12%, despite expecting annual fuel costs of EUR8.9 billion. It raises its third-quarter dividend by 10% to 5.3 euro cents per share from 4.8 cents and begins the final EUR500 million tranche of its EUR1.5 billion share buyback programme.
----------
Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust PLC, up 0.9% at 1,447.00 pence, 12-month range 1,015.74p-1,652.50p. The Baillie Gifford-managed investment trust reports a net asset value total return of 32% for the six months ended September 30, nearly double the FTSE All-World Index's 16% return, while its share price total return reaches 34%. NAV per share rises 31% to 1,726.6 pence from 1,315.8p at the end of March, while shareholders' funds increase to GBP17.69 billion from GBP13.82 billion. Scottish Mortgage says performance is supported by gains across its portfolio, including investments in SpaceX and Moderna, while it also increases its exposure to artificial intelligence company Anthropic. The trust reduces its SpaceX holding to 11.1% of total assets from 15% at the end of September, following the company's stock market flotation. Revenue earnings per share rise 45% to 2.25p from 1.55p, and the interim dividend increases 13% to 1.80p per share from 1.60p.
----------
TBC Bank Group PLC, up 6.7% at 5,090.00 pence, 12-month range 3,615.00p-5,490.00p. The Georgian lender reports an 11% rise in third-quarter pretax profit to GEL472.2 million from GEL425.4 million a year earlier, as net interest income increases 13% to GEL700.2 million from GEL621.6 million. Gross loans grow 13% to GEL32.51 billion at the end of September from GEL28.71 billion a year earlier. Third-quarter return on equity eases to 23.2% from 24.4%, while the nine-month figure declines to 23.4% from 23.9%. TBC Bank declares a third-quarter dividend of GEL1.75 per share, unchanged from a year earlier, and launches a share buyback programme worth up to GEL50 million, covering a maximum of 5.6 million shares. The programme begins Friday and is scheduled to conclude by February 28.
