Small-cap and AIM movers in focus:

----------

Sunda Energy PLC, up 43% at 2p, 12-month range 0.020p-3.00p. The exploration and appraisal firm with gas assets in the Asia Pacific region notes the New Zealand government has granted a 10-year petroleum mining permit in the onshore Taranaki region. "The new PMP covers the Puka oil and gas field and Oru exploration prospect. Restarting production from Puka and drilling the Oru-2 exploration well are key components of Sunda's investment plan in New Zealand," Sunda adds. The permit has been granted to Matahio NZ Onshore Ltd, whose parent Sunda agreed to acquire back in April.

----------

Distil PLC, up 20% at 0.06p, 12-month range 0.030p-0.30p. The owner of drinks brands receives its first order through a US distribution partner. The order brings Blavod Black Vodka back into the US market. "Distil's new distribution partner boasts an extensive distribution network across the US, Canada and Puerto Rico, with strong retail relationships," the company says. A first shipment is to leave the UK early in the third quarter of the firm's financial year ending March 31.

----------

Ethernity Networks Ltd, up 17% at 0.0014p, 12-month range 0.0010p-0.025p. Ethernity, which supplies data processing semiconductor technology for networking appliances, says a plan to monetise some patents "has the potential to generate upfront substantial licensing proceeds" if it is successful. "The company and its advisers have identified evidence indicating that products offered by multiple vendors within the rapidly growing AI infrastructure and telecommunications markets may use technology relevant to certain of the company's patents. These vendors collectively represent a substantial proportion of the relevant market, which the board believes may increase the potential commercial value of the company's intellectual property portfolio," Ethernity says. Ethernity in June noted it has engaged an intellectual property monetisation brokerage firm "to evaluate licencing opportunities for its patent portfolio". "The process remains ongoing, and there can be no certainty that a transaction will be completed, as to its timing or terms, or that any proceeds will ultimately be received unless and until a definitive agreement is executed," Ethernity says on Thursday. "Should the process result in the successful execution of a monetisation transaction, any resulting proceeds would strengthen the company's financial position and provide it with greater flexibility to evaluate and pursue its next strategic and operational steps."

----------

Light Science Technologies Holdings PLC, down 9.4% at 1.45p, 12-month range 1.00p-7.10p. The agriculture technology and fire protection company reports a pretax loss of GBP875,000 in the half-year ended May 31, widening from GBP163,000 a year prior, as revenue falls 26% to GBP3.7 million from GBP5.1 million.
