FTSE 100 & 250 movers in focus:
----------
Airtel Africa PLC, down 4.4% at 296.00 pence, 12-month range 219.00p-436.20p. The telecommunications company falls as its mobile money business, Airtel Mobile Commerce NV, begins conditional trading on London's Main Market following an initial public offering priced at 196p per share, valuing the business at GBP5.3 billion. Shares in Airtel Money edge down 0.5% to 195.10p in early trading. The float is London's largest since Wise Group PLC listed in July 2021 with a market capitalisation of around GBP8 billion. Admission to the Financial Conduct Authority's Official List and unconditional dealings are expected to begin on Wednesday. Airtel Africa is not selling any existing shares in the offering and expects to remain a long-term strategic shareholder in Airtel Money.
----------
DCC Energy PLC, down 0.2% at 6,435.00 pence, 12-month range 4,188.00p-6,740.00p. The energy sales, marketing and distribution company agrees to sell its Nexora technology division to funds managed or advised by One Equity Partners at an enterprise value of USD725 million, ahead of its planned private equity takeover. DCC Energy expects net proceeds of USD701 million, allowing shareholders to receive an additional 42p per share on top of the agreed 6,525p-per-share takeover offer from a consortium backed by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co LP and Energy Capital Partners Management LP. The additional payment would lift the total consideration to 6,567p per share, valuing the takeover at around GBP5.75 billion before the increase. The Nexora disposal is expected to complete in early March, with the extra payment conditional on completion before the end of July.
----------
Morgan Advanced Materials PLC, up 9.0% at 288.75 pence, 12-month range 179.80p-290.00p. The advanced materials manufacturer rises after RBC Capital Markets upgrades its rating to 'outperform' from 'sector perform' and raises its price target to 330p from 250p.
----------
Seraphim Space Investment Trust PLC, up 5.2% at 201.50 pence, 12-month range 66.80p-108.27p. Invests USD15.0 million in satellite navigation company Xona Space Systems Inc through its C share portfolio, following a new financing round that significantly increases the valuation of its existing holding. The space technology investment company says the financing lifts the fair value of its ordinary share portfolio holding by approximately GBP52.2 million from its March 31 valuation, equivalent to 22.0p per ordinary share before performance fees. The existing holding is now valued at USD106.5 million, rising to USD121.5 million including the new investment, making Xona Seraphim's second-largest portfolio holding. The company expects to substantially reflect the valuation uplift in its September 30 portfolio valuation. Xona is developing a commercial satellite navigation system designed to deliver centimetre-level positioning accuracy using satellites in low Earth orbit.
