FTSE 100 & 250 movers in focus:
----------
Ceres Power Holdings, up 6.9% at 274.60p, 12-month range 206.00p-872.50p. Shares in Ceres have slumped by around a third this month, with the clean energy technology developer hurt by concerns surrounding the artificial-intelligence sector build-out. Ceres is a power supplier in the data centre field, leaving it exposed to the ebbs and flows of AI sector sentiment among investors. Recently, stocks exposed to the AI sector have struggled as investors fret over the large sums of money spent and still to be spent.
----------
Wag Payment Solutions, down 6.2% at 102.60p, 12-month range 88.20p-135.00p. TA Associates Management LP sells its entire remaining 12.7% interest in the provider of payment and data services to trucking companies. Peel Hunt and Wood & Co place 88.5 million shares at GBP1.00 each, worth GBP88.5 million, with institutional investors in an accelerated bookbuild. TA Associates initially invested in Eurowag back in 2016 and helped take the business public through a initial public offering on the London Stock Exchange in 2021. It sold an around 4.3% interest back in July. After Friday's sale, which was first announced after the London market close on Thursday, TA Associates has no remaining stake. Eurowag will receive no proceeds from the sale as it is of existing shares.
----------
Burberry Group PLC, down 1.7% at 1,069.00p, 12-month range 953.40p-1,376.50. Reports from luxury peers have underwhelmed this week. Shares in Hermes International SCA sank 4.9% in Paris on Thursday on weaker-than-expected growth. Kering SA is down 12% on Friday as its Gucci arm continues to struggle.
----------
Shell PLC, up 1.5% 3,947.50p, 12-month range 2,553.77p-3,980.00p. Shell rises as the Brent hits its loftiest level since early May on continued Middle East uncertainty. Seven oil tankers caught fire or were damaged in the Strait of Hormuz after being hit by Iran or striking naval mines, Tehran said on Thursday, according to the Associated Press.
