FTSE 100 & 250 movers in focus:
----------
GlobalData, down 24% at 54.35p, 12-month range 52.61p-153.50p. The data, analytics, and intelligence firm says the first half of the year was one of "organisational progress" but "below our ambitions". Looking ahead, it expects annual underlying revenue to be "more muted than expected", though still in line with market expectations. It puts market revenue expectations between GBP325.3 million and GBP335.7 million. Profit will be below forecasts, however. "The reduction in revenue outturn, together with targeted investments through the second half will mean margins are more subdued than market expectations, and in line with the first half adjusted Ebitda margin. Therefore, we expect adjusted Ebitda for FY26 to be below market expectations," it warns. Adjusted Ebitda forecasts range from GBP121.0 million to GBP126.7 million.
----------
Sage Group, up 3.9% at 995.1p, 12-month range 771.66p-1,181.00p. Some apocalyptic warnings on artificial intelligence prompted calls to slow its development, boosting the likes of Sage, Experian PLC and Relx. US President Donald Trump and key allies voiced opposition Sunday to drastically curbing the development of artificial intelligence, despite calls in recent days from leading industry figures to tap the brakes. The rapid development of AI and the risks that the technology poses to humanity have exploded into the national conversation just weeks before midterm elections, in which technology has become a major flashpoint in campaigning. Sage, Experian and Relx have been among the software stocks roiled by worries that generative AI could replicate some of their offerings.
----------
Polar Capital Technology Trust, down 3.4% at 631.5p, 12-month range 414.74p-743.50p. The firm's portfolio contains stocks at the heart of the AI revolution, including high-tech chip maker Nvidia Corp, and Google owner Alphabet Inc, which is behind Gemini.
----------
International Consolidated Airlines Group, down 3.1% at 406.7p, 12-month range 332.70p-492.90p. Brent neared the USD110 a barrel level on Friday, and trades at around USD108 on Monday, threatening to lift jet fuel prices. Saudi authorities said Friday drones launched from Iraq led to the temporary closure of a crucial oil export route used to bypass the lockdown of the Strait of Hormuz.
