Small-cap and AIM movers in focus:
----------
EDX Medical Group PLC, up 21% at 11.75 pence, 12-month range 8.25p-13.25p. Raises approximately GBP2.7 million through a subscription for 19.4 million shares at 14p each. Each share entitles the subscriber to warrants over 2 ordinary shares at a 3p exercise price. EDX intends to use the net proceeds to support the expansion of its new employee health screening service. Also reports that "discussions with respect to definitive contracts are progressing well in relation to the agreements in principle to provide the health screening service to three significant UK employers". Still expects testing to start in the fourth quarter. Adds that two more large firms have approached it, with talks ongoing. "The board remain very excited by the size of commercial opportunity that these discussions represent," EDX says. Notes that recognition of GBP860,000 in revenue has been deferred into the current financial year, having previously forecast revenue of GBP1.2 million for the year ended March 31. Says the processing of diagnostic test orders ran beyond the year's end, although it has received "the bulk of the invoiced revenues".
----------
Geo Exploration Ltd, up 9.5% at 0.115 pence, 12-month range 0.0725p-0.49p. Announces "highly positive results" from a trial soil geochemical survey at the Gorge Mine. Reports "exceptional high grades" with a peak of 7.74 grams per tonne gold. Adds that gold was detected in 99.6% of soil samples collected during the site reconnaissance visit in May. Five samples returned gold values exceeding 1.0 g/t Au, "highlighting multiple areas of high-grade gold response," and testing also found a "significant anomalism" with a peak grade of 0.37 g/t at the 401 Prospect target area. Geo says the results can be used "to refine the strongest areas for follow-up exploration and future drilling", adding: "The scale and distribution of the gold-in-soil response are considered highly encouraging and reinforces the Gorge Mine target as a priority area for further exploration." Also, the price of gold is higher on Monday, at USD4,639.02 an ounce compared with USD4,605.34 at the London market close on Friday.
----------
Marechale Capital PLC, down 6.9% at 4.75 pence, 12-month range 1.4p-8.5p. The digital merchant banking provider announces results for the year ended April 30. Revenue falls to GBP341,000 from GBP409,000 the year before. Pretax loss widens to GBP912,174 from GBP337,325. Says it delivered a resilient performance in a challenging market for small & medium enterprise funding, noting increased activity in the second half. Notes that Weardale Lithium, its core investment, made further progress towards developing its direct lithium extraction plant. Chief Executive Officer Patrick Booth-Clibborn comments: "Tokenisation represents one of the most significant changes to financial markets in recent memory. Marechale is now shaping this trend by bridging traditional and digital markets to unlock new revenue streams, funding sources and ownership structures."
