Small-cap and AIM movers in focus:

----------

Genel Energy PLC, down 11% at 56.55 pence, 12-month range 49.95p-77.1p. Norwegian oil and gas firm DNO ASA says it does not intend to make a takeover offer for the exploration and oil production company. In late July, DNO approached Genel with a possible offer valuing the latter at 69p per share, or GBP202 million in total. Genel's board rejected the approach, but DNO said it remained willing to engage with the board. Earlier this week, DNO made a USD5.214 per share offer for Edinburgh-based oil and gas company Capricorn Energy PLC, trumping Genel's previously agreed offer of USD4.74 per share. DNO on Friday says Genel's board "demonstrated no willingness to engage," and that Genel shareholders were consequently "denied the opportunity to consider a proposal that offered a substantial premium, certainty of value and an attractive liquidity event."

----------

Pri0r1ty Intelligence Group PLC, up 9.1% at 1.2 pence, 12-month range 0.875p-3.2p. The software-as-a-service company has acquired the operating assets and technology platform of Pirkx Ltd, from administrators BTG. It is paying an initial cash sum of GBP50,000 for the assets, as well as a capped GBP350,000 royalty payment of 4% of revenue for a period of five years following the acquisition date. "The acquisition of Pirkx represents a pivotal step in our growth strategy. Pirkx built an incredible product proposition with thousands of active SME users, but like many growing platforms, it faced administrative and operational scale friction. By applying Pri0r1ty's proprietary AI automation stack-Vox, Advisor, and Compass ID-we believe we can eliminate cost inefficiencies, unlock the active pipeline, and turn Pirkx into a strong revenue-generating division," CEO Rory Maxwell says.

----------

Rockhopper Exploration PLC, down 5.9% at 73.3 pence, 12-month range 66.6p-89.6p. The North Falkland Basin-focused oil and gas company notes media reporting regarding the Falkland Islands, namely Argentinian President Javier Milei's statement that the Falklands "are Argentinian... historically and legally," adding: "We need to recover these islands which are nationally relevant. There is no other path forward." Navitas Petroleum, its partner and the Sea Lion project's operator, has issued a statement to clarify that the partnership "operates pursuant to valid petroleum licences lawfully granted to it by the government of the Falkland Islands, a self-governing UK overseas territory, and with the full and ongoing support of the UK government." Says it does not expect the news to have a material effect on Sea Lion's development activities, including on the timetable for the completion of development.

----------

Victoria PLC, down 4.0% at 55.45 pence, 12-month range 19.6p-73.4p. The Worcester, England-based designer, manufacturer, and distributor of flooring products notes competitor Headlam Group PLC's recent announcement that it intends to appoint administrators, saying that while Headlam is a customer for its manufactured products, it currently has no credit exposure to the company. Says that the industry operating environment remains volatile elsewhere, with energy, diesel and input prices rising further since its annual results in July. However, Victoria also says it has made an "encouraging" start to its financial year despite the challenging market environment. This includes completing productivity upgrades to its V4 ceramics line in Spain, and the transfer of rug-weaving equipment at its Balta business from Belgium to Turkey. Expects both projects to increase efficiency and output over the remainder of its current financial year and support stronger performance in financial 2028, broadly in line with expectations.
