FTSE 100 & 250 movers in focus:
----------
Ithaca Energy PLC, down 4.4% at 283.00 pence, 12-month range 149.80p-298.60p. Tracks oil prices lower as Iran proposes a seven-day plan to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and restart talks with the US, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says, according to US media. Brent oil prices are lower, helped by the prospect of a reopening of the key energy shipping route, trading at USD105.73 a barrel early Friday, down from USD107.25 late Thursday. Araghchi says the plan has been delivered through intermediaries and depends on certain conditions being met, which he says go no further than those agreed between Washington and Tehran in June. Iranian state media reports that Tehran's conditions include the immediate lifting of the US naval blockade off the Iranian coast, the release of frozen Iranian assets and an end to the war on all fronts. A White House official tells CNN that discussions through mediators have been "positive and constructive". US and Iranian representatives held talks on Tuesday on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, their first negotiations in months.
----------
United Utilities Group PLC, up 0.6% at 1,406.00 pence, 12-month range 1,099.00p-1,497.00p. Leaves its financial framework and guidance for financial 2027 unchanged, continuing to target regulatory returns of 10% to 11% during the AMP8 regulatory period. The water utility says operational performance is in line with expectations and its capital programme is progressing as planned, with around GBP2 billion of investment expected in financial 2027 and GBP11.5 billion across AMP8. Separately, it submits its response to Ofwat's 2026 cost change draft decision, seeking support for around GBP1 billion of investment to improve network resilience, add water and wastewater capacity and support economic growth in north-west England. United Utilities remains on track to access around GBP2.5 billion of investment through the AMP8 re-opener mechanism, with Ofwat's final decision expected in December.
----------
Raspberry Pi Holdings PLC, down 11% at 675.50 pence, 12-month range 253.80p-1,082.00p. Reverses some of Thursday's 20% gain, which followed a record first-half performance driven by strong demand, increased unit shipments and a favourable product mix. The single-board computer maker said on Thursday it was well placed for further rapid growth.
----------
Harworth Group PLC, up 4.8% at 186.50 pence, 12-month range 116.80p-195.00p. Recommends shareholders accept Peel Pepper UK Ltd's "best and final" takeover offer of 187p per share, reversing its previous recommendation to reject the bid. Peel Pepper, an acquisition vehicle owned by Peel Holdings Group Ltd, says the offer will not be increased and has agreed to purchase 72.1 million Harworth shares at 187p each on September 29. Following settlement, it expects to own or have valid acceptances for around 52% of Harworth, making the offer unconditional. The final bid is 8.4% above Peel Pepper's previous 177.5p offer and a 30% premium to Harworth's closing price before the offer period began, but remains at a 10% discount to its diluted EPRA net disposal value of 208.8p per share at June 30.
