----------

FTSE 100 & 250 movers in focus:

----------

IntegraFin Holdings, down 2.4% at 374.75p, 12-month range 293.00p-402.00p. The operator of the Transact platform says funds under direction on the investment platform rose 17% on-year to GBP86.5 billion at the September 30 fourth quarter end, "driven by sustained net inflows and positive market movements". Net inflows totalled GBP900 million during the quarter, slowing from GBP1.0 billion a year prior. Full-year net inflows amounted to GBP4.2 billion, down from GBP4.4 billion in financial 2025. It says Transact "client deposits and withdrawals [are] seeing a modest impact from the upcoming UK budget", similar to previous years.

----------

Bellway PLC, up 1.9% at 2,022.00p, 12-month range 1,715.00p-2,890.00p. The housebuilder announces a GBP150 million share buyback to take place during its new financial year. For the year ended July 31, pretax profit rose 22% to GBP270.2 million from GBP221.9 million, while revenue increased 14% to GBP3.16 billion from GBP2.78 billion. "Since the start of the new financial year, the subdued trading conditions experienced from late spring have continued. Customer demand remains constrained by affordability pressures, with mortgage interest rates above prior-year levels, while wider economic uncertainty continues to affect homebuyer decision-making," Bellway says.

----------

Polar Capital Technology Trust, down 1.5% at 682.75p, 12-month range 420.00p-743.50p. Investment trusts with a tech exposure trade lower after share price falls for holdings in New York and Asia. Polar Capital Technology Trust's holdings include Nvidia Corp, Micron Technology Inc and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co Ltd. Nvidia and Micron fell 1.3% and 3.9% in New York, while TSMC declined 2.0% in Taipei. Fears of Chinese competition has hit listed companies in the memory space. Wealth Club analyst Susannah Streeter comments: "First-mover advantages look set to be eroded by the new kids on the chip block. Advances by China’s CXMT have sent a shiver of apprehension through the market, after the company reported 'key progress' on a new cell architecture designed to bolster memory density, with plans for a product rollout. This is a highly competitive field, with rivals Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix also hard at work at this edge of innovation. It’s raised big questions yet again about valuations based on bumper earnings projections and the scarcity of products, given the progress of rivals."

----------

BP PLC, up 1.2% at 595.30p, 12-month range 399.35p-609.40p. It expects to report a marked reduction in debt and stronger refining margins in the third quarter, although it also will book impairments of up to USD4.5 billion. In the Products arm, the oil major expects an underlying replacement cost profit boost from "stronger realised refining margins" to the tune of USD1.9 billion to USD2.1 billion, relative to the second quarter. BP says its third-quarter results are to include adjusting items relating to impairments in the range of USD3.0 billion to USD4.5 billion. BP also says it expects to report net debt as of the end of the third quarter on September 30 of between USD13.5 billion and USD14.5 billion, down from USD22.3 billion on June 30. JPMorgan analyst Matthew Lofting says the debt reduction was better than his forecast for a reduction to USD18 billion.
