Small-cap and AIM movers in focus:

----------

C&C Group PLC, up 7.78% at 96.15 pence, 12-month range 87.6p-166p. The Dublin-based cider and beer maker and distributor says trading in the six months to August 31 was in line with expectations. Expects first-half underlying operating profit of between EUR43.0 million and EUR44.0 million, in line with expectations. Operating profit before exceptional items was EUR41.9 million in the first half of financial 2026. Net revenue falls 3.0% on a constant currency basis, reflecting 2.0% growth in branded revenue and a 4.0% decline in distribution revenue. C&C says it remains on track to deliver full-year operating profit in line with market expectations, although market conditions remain volatile and the upcoming Christmas trading period will be key. Also, the company has agreed to buy the UK wholesale operations of Tokyo-based brewer Asahi Group Holdings Ltd for "nominal consideration". The purchase includes Nectar Imports Ltd and the direct distribution operations of Asahi UK.

----------

East Star Resources PLC, up 7.1% at 9.4 pence, 12-month range 1.675p-9.65p. The Kazakhstan-focused gold and copper explorer says its gold exploration joint venture with Endeavour Exploration Ltd, a subsidiary of Endeavour Mining PLC, is moving into systematic exploration. The partners have completed reconnaissance across 15 priority targets, submitted exploration licence applications covering more than 930 square kilometres and established an in-country team of geologists. Also, they have compiled historical geological and exploration data and started prospectivity mapping to identify targets for gold and other mineral systems. East Star says the JV will move into systematic field exploration, including geological mapping and soil and geochemical sampling, once licence applications are granted.

----------

Lindsell Train Investment Trust PLC, up 4.4% at 568 pence, 12-month range 540p-745p. The investment trust announces a tender offer to buy back up to 20% of its issued share capital. Says that since its launch in 2001, it has delivered an annualised NAV total return of plus 10.5%, ahead of the MSCI World Index's plus 7.8%. However, the annualised return over the last five years has been a "disappointing" minus 7.1%, which Lindsell believes has led to the widening of the discount at which its shares trade. The tender offer is intended to narrow the discount. Lindsell says it continues to have confidence in its investment approach and the quality of its portfolio.

----------

everplay group PLC, up 13% at 331.5 pence, 12-month range 0.00625p-0.00625p. The Wakefield, England-based video game developer and publisher says the Wardogs tactical first-person shooter sold more than 1 million copies on its first day of release on Steam Early Access on Thursday. The game has also reached more than 340,000 concurrent players on Steam. everplay has a strategic partnership with Wardogs developer Bulkhead through its stake in Super Media Group Ltd.

----------

Beowulf Mining PLC, down 32% at 7.5 pence, 12-month range 5p-12p. The mineral explorer and developer announces on Thursday evening that the Swedish Inspectorate of Strategic Products has decided to initiate a review of Bacchus Capital & Affiliates' proposed strategic investment in Beowulf. Notes that the ISP has three months to complete its review, but this can be extended to six months in "special cases". Beowulf announced in June that Bacchus had agreed to invest GBP3.7 million as part of a total proposed GBP4.3 million financing. Says the current long stop date for the financing, and its settlement agreement with Alumni Capital, is September 30, meaning that an extension will need to be agreed. "Whilst Bacchus Capital remains supportive of the company, there is no guarantee that these agreements will be extended," Beowulf says. Warns that it "will need to secure additional financing within the next month in order to provide working capital for its operations."
