(Alliance News) - Whitbread PLC on Monday said it appointed a main contractor for delivering a new Premier Inn hotel in Vauxhall in London.
The Dunstable, England-based operator of Premier Inn and other hospitality chains said the project will bring Phoenix House, a 10-storey 80,000 square feet former office opposite Vauxhall Station, back into long-term use as a 180-bedroom Premier Inn, and establish the brand in Vauxhall for the first time.
Whitbread said it appointed Legendre UK to lead the project.
Whitbread said construction work is due to begin later this year, with completion scheduled for the end of 2027.
Whitbread shares rose 0.3% to 2,317.00 pence each on Monday morning in London.
