LONDON (Alliance News) - WH Ireland Group PLC Thursday said it intends to open a new office in Milton Keynes, continuing the expansion of its private wealth management division.
In a statement, WH Ireland, which provides corporate broking and private wealth management services, said the office will focus on discretionary and advisory fund management, and said it has appointed Paul Wilson, formerly of Charles Stanley Group PLC, as an investment director.
The move comes amid an initiative to expand the private wealth management division, for which the group in February received regulatory approval to open an Isle of Man office.
In addition, WH Ireland said it has made a number of senior appointments in its London office, recruiting Vincent Ferguson, Martin Guilbert and Turon Miah as investment directors. They will be joined by Andrew Little. All four new recruits were previously at Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management, part of Canaccord Genuity Group Inc.
"We are pleased that these talented investment directors have chosen WH Ireland to further develop their careers, which is testament to the significant improvements to the business initiated over the last year and the continuing change in the industry landscape. We believe that they will significantly augment our funds under management over the next 12-18 months," Chief Executive Richard Killingbeck said in a statement.
WH Ireland shares were Thursday quoted at 112.25 pence, down 1.1%.
