WH Ireland Says Chair Tim Steel To Retire At 2019 End

4th Oct 2019 09:47

(Alliance News) - Wealth manager and corporate broker WH Ireland Group PLC said Friday its Chair Tim Steel will retire from their role at the end of 2019.

Non-Executive Director Richard Lee will also step down alongside Steel, after nine years in the role since 2010. Lee will remain as a senior advisor to WH Ireland.

Steel has been part of the financial services firm for five years since 2014, and has been its chair for three years since 2016.

WH Ireland has started a process to find and appoint a successor to ensure an orderly handover process.

"Having overseen the implementation of the first phase of our recovery plan and the recruitment of a new senior management team and board, it is time for a new chairman to oversee the next stage of WH Ireland's development. I wish the company every success for the future," Steel said.

Shares in WH Ireland were down 1.8% at 49.10 pence on Friday in London.
