LONDON (Alliance News) - WH Ireland Group PLC said Thursday it raised GBP2 million via the issue of 2 million shares at 100 pence each.
The stock broker said it raised the funds to satisfy its present capital requirements.
"The directors believe that the placing is the most cost effective and certain method to raise funds at this time, avoiding the significant costs and uncertainty associated with a public offering requiring a prospectus," WH Ireland said.
Admission of the new shares becoming is expected on October 10.
Shares in the company were trading up 6.1% at 105.00p each.
