(Alliance News) - Interior design and furnishings group Walker Greenbank PLC on Friday said it has developed an online shop for its Scion brand in collaboration with internet retailer Design Online.
The online shop will sell Walker Greenbanks's products under a franchsie agreement with Design Online, a company formed by Jane Clayton & Co. The franchise agreement will have an initial term of five years and require little capital investment by the company.
The online shop, to be called Scion Living, will launch in Spring 2021 and will initially serve UK and Europe customers before expanding internationally.
Scion Living's product range is expected to include all Scion fabrics and wallcoverings, bespoke furnishings and an extensive range of licensed products.
"We are excited by the potential of this innovative online route to market for our youthful Scion brand. We are very pleased to be working with the team at Jane Clayton and Company and believe that the development of a brand-specific online shop will be a first in our industry. The online shop will both advance the Company's digital strategy and provide an additional route to market for the Scion brand," said Chief Executive Officer Lisa Montague.
Shares in Walker Greenbank were up 2.3% at 75.75 pence in London on Friday.
