Vistry subsidiary Countryside Partnerships acquires 170-acre site

(Alliance News) - Vistry Group PLC on Friday said its subsidiary, Countryside Partnerships PLC, has acquired the Peel Hall site in Warrington, alongside Torus62 Ltd.

The Kent, England-based housebuilder said Countryside Partnerships plans to deliver around 1,200 homes on the 170 acre site.

Vistry said the the homes will be delivered by Countryside and Vistry, in a joint venture with Torus. Torus is a housing association based in North West England.

The company said 595 of the home will be on the open market, while the other 595 will be affordable homes built in partnership with Torus.

Vistry said the the development will include open space, sports pitches and a "high-quality residential environment".

Stephen Teagle, chief executive officer of Countryside Partnerships said: "Peel Hall has been one of the most sought-after sites in the North West and it is fantastic that through our partnerships and housebuilding businesses we will be delivering much-needed new homes for the local community.

"This purchase will help underpin our strategic growth plans for the coming years and through our partnership approach, working alongside Torus, we will accelerate the delivery of housing and the creation of places people love."

Work on the site is set to begin in mid-2025, once the company has gained full planning permission.

Vistry shares were up 0.2% trading at 748.75 pence per share on Friday morning in London.
