Videndum finance director steps down; deputy appointed CFO immediately

14th Dec 2022 08:56

(Alliance News) - Videndum PLC on Wednesday said Martin Green stepped down as finance director with immediate effect after just under two years in the role, with Videndum announcing deputy finance director Andrea Rigamonti would replace him with the title chief financial officer.

Green became group finance director in February 2020.

The London-based hardware and software developer said Green would also cease to be a board member, but remains with the business to support Chief Executive Officer Stephen Bird and the executive team on certain strategic projects before leaving the group.

Rigamonti, the new CFO, re-joined Videndum from Senior PLC as deputy finance director in October 2021, having previously worked for Videndum between 2004 and 2015 in the head office finance team. He was the group financial controller between 2010 and 2015.

As a result, Videndum said in a statement that Rigamonti has an in-depth knowledge of Videndum and its end markets.

"I would like to thank Martin for his significant contribution to the group over 20 years culminating in his role as group finance director," said CEO Bird.

"We are delighted to announce the appointment of Andrea to the role of group chief financial Officer. Andrea's deep knowledge and experience of the business means he is ideally suited to help me deliver the group's strategic ambition."

Rigamonti previously worked for Sony UK and trained as a financial analyst with Morgan Stanley. He went to the University of Oxford and is a chartered management accountant.

Shares in Videndum were quoted at 1,114.02 pence in London on Wednesday morning.
