(Alliance News) - TT Electronics PLC shares jumped on Wednesday after the company said it expects 2026 adjusted operating profit to beat market guidance, and reported increased half-year earnings.
Shares in the Woking, England-based electronic manufacturer rose 12% to 151.72 pence in London.
TT Electronics reported that adjusted operating profit rose 37% to GBP18.5 million in the first half of the year, from GBP13.5 million a year earlier. As a result, TT Electronics now expects full-year adjusted operating profit to be "ahead of current market expectations."
The company said current market expectations stand at GBP35.0 million, within a range of GBP32.6 million to 38.5 million.
TT Electronics said adjusted pretax profit increased 86% to GBP15.8 million in the first half of 2026, from GBP8.5 million a year earlier. Statutory operating profit was GBP9.7 million, compared with a loss of GBP3.0 million. Revenue fell 2.7% to GBP228.1 million, from GBP234.5 million.
The company did not propose a dividend, consistent with the previous year.
TT Electronics said it has benefited from actions taken in 2025, including the closure of its loss-making site in Plano, Texas, and the transfer of electronics manufacturing services production from its Suzhou site, in China, to its facility in Kuantan, Malaysia.
Chief Executive Officer Eric Lakin said: "TT Electronics is a stronger and more resilient business than it was twelve months ago.
"We have a clear strategy, a refreshed leadership team and a solid platform from which to deliver sustainable growth and create long-term value for our shareholders."
