(Alliance News) - Tritax Big Box REIT PLC on Wednesday announced the appointment of Nick Prettejohn as chair designate ahead of the retirement of current Chair Aubrey Adams on December 31.
The London-based real estate investment trust focused on UK logistics properties and managed by Tritax Management said Prettejohn will join its board on Wednesday and take over as chair on January 1.
Prettejohn currently serves as chair of Reach PLC, the publisher of UK newspapers including the Daily Mirror, Daily Express, Sunday Express and Daily Star. He has held the role since 2018 and previously chaired TSB Banking Group PLC, Scottish Widows and Brit Insurance.
He also serves on the boards of polling company YouGov PLC, Lloyds Banking Group PLC and Legal & General Group PLC.
Prettejohn said: "I am delighted to be joining the board of Tritax Big Box and honoured to have been appointed chair designate. The company has made impressive strategic progress and is well positioned for its next phase of growth."
Tritax Big Box thanked Adams for his "leadership, service and significant contribution to the company during his tenure as chair", adding that he has presided over a period of substantial growth.
Tritax Big Box shares were 0.4% higher at 142.80 pence each on Wednesday afternoon in London.
