Tricor First Half Loss Narrows As Lower Costs Offset Lack Of Revenue

11th Dec 2015 16:20

LONDON (Alliance News) - Investment company Tricor PLC Friday reported a narrowed pretax loss for its first half, as it incurred lower administrative expenses, which offset a lack of revenue in the period.

Tricor has investments in Tricor Environmental Pte Ltd, Tricor Minerals Pte Ltd, and Tricor Resources Trading Pte Ltd.

For the half year to end-September the company reported a pretax loss of GBP365,000, narrowed from a pretax loss of GBP1.0 million a year before. It did not report any turnover, although in the previous period it reported turnover of GBP1.6 million.

The company said it did not generate any revenue in the half year as its operational subsidiaries are "still in the midst of attempts to secure new sand contracts."

Tricor said it is continuing talks with other potential investors to raise funds for the company to ensure further working capital is made available in the best interests of its shareholders.

Shares in Tricor were untraded Friday afternoon. They last closed at 0.639 pence.
