TRADING UPDATES: Xaar hires Bodycote's Daniel Dayan as new chair

14th Oct 2026 18:38

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of updates by London-listed companies, issued on Wednesday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

Xaar PLC - Cambridge, England-based industrial inkjet manufacturer - Appoints Daniel Dayan as chair, effective immediately. Outgoing Chair Ben Stocks steps down "to take up an alternative position." Dayan has been non-executive chair of Bodycote PLC since 2022, and holds the same role at private firms Watson Fuels and Aquaspersions Group. His prior board roles include non-executive director at Chemring Group PLC. "Xaar's highly experienced executive team have a clear view as to the next steps needed in their exciting growth journey, and I wish them and the board well as they execute their plans," Stocks comments. "For reasons of professional focus and concerns about over-boarding, now is a good time for me to step away." Dayan, meanwhile, says: "Xaar is an IP-rich company with substantial competitive advantage and will benefit from significant growth trends involving precision deposition and additive manufacturing...I look forward to working with the board and the wider executive team to support Xaar in achieving its full potential."

----------

Kistos Holdings PLC - London-based oil and gas producer from offshore and onshore assets in the UK, Norway, and the Netherlands - Signs sales & purchase agreement with Var Energi ASA to acquire a 10% working interest in the PL 169E, PL 956 and PL 956B production licenses, which are on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. This is subject to approval from the Norwegian Ministry of Energy. Says upfront consideration totals USD12.9 million, and the transaction takes effect on January 1. The deal gives Kistos a uniform working interest across the Balder-Ringhorne Fields, the Ringhorne East Unit, and the part of the Ringhorne Nord field in PL 956 and PL 956B, alongside its existing 10% stake in PL 027. Says adding the new licences to its portfolio will add a small amount of production and 4.3 million barrels of oil equivalent net to Kistos, combining the 2B and 2C reserves. Expects the 2C volumes to be on stream in 2029. Adds that the deal will align its own and Var's interests across the Balder Area. Says this will enable more efficient field development and reduce operating costs, both of which will support "maximum resource recovery".

----------

Physiomics PLC - Oxford, England-based mathematical modelling company focused on medical drug development - Wins new model-informed drug development modelling contract worth GBP119,000, which it says will incorporate pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic modelling. Physiomics also enters non-binding heads of terms with an unidentified third party "to explore additional commercial opportunities for its personalised dosing software and associated intellectual property." Says both parties will explore the marketing and commercialisation of the technology and its potential application in additional markets. These include the wellness sector and, potentially, the US. Says this remains exploratory, as "no specific application, commercial terms or revenue have been agreed". Adds that the opportunities explored in the HoT are in addition to its existing programmes for the technology, and will not affect them. "This contract is a strong example of our team's ability to move quickly and deliver and we are delighted that it was swiftly and efficiently executed," says Executive Director Mike Whitlow.
