(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of updates by London-listed companies, issued on Thursday and not separately reported by Alliance News:
----------
Potter & Moore PLC - Peterborough, England-based beauty and wellbeing consumer goods manufacturer, formerly known as Creightons - Says first-quarter trading remains challenging amid difficult wider sector conditions, with year-to-date revenue below the prior year but broadly in line with internal expectations. Expects first-half revenue and gross profit margin to be lower year-on-year, with margins hit by input cost inflation ahead of anticipated price recovery. Trading remains weighted towards the second half, supported by new retail listings, special-buy and fast-follow activity and sales price recovery, some of which remains under negotiation. Cash rises to GBP4.1 million at July 31 from GBP3.6 million at March 31. A final dividend of 0.55p per share remains subject to shareholder approval at Thursday's annual general meeting.
----------
Rome Resources PLC - mineral explorer with tin project in Democratic Republic of the Congo - Announces that independent modelling by MSA Group (Pty) Ltd has identified two new mineralised zones, MINZ8 and MINZ9, at its Kalayi tin deposit in the DRC. In addition, reports that MSA has identified a significant undrilled continuation of the high-grade tin trend to the southeast of existing drilling, providing a further priority target for potential resource expansion. The work forms part of the ongoing Kalayi mineral resource estimate update and highlights further potential beyond the areas included in the forthcoming MRE. Further, on the company's optioned areas in Canada, initial surface sampling at Rome Resources' New Brunswick tin-tungsten-indium project has returned encouraging grab sample assays, with follow-up trenching now underway and detailed reporting to follow.
----------
ZCCM Investments Holdings PLC - Lusaka-based mining investor - Advises that earnings per share in 2025 is expected to be around 112% lower than 2024. The "significant" decline in earnings is primarily attributed to the absence of the one-off investment gain recognised in 2024 which did not recur in 2025, as well as the underperformance of Mopani Copper Mines PLC and Konkola Copper Mines PLC, both of which are currently undergoing strategic operational reforms. As a result, records net loss of ZMW4.92 billion, around GBP191 million, for 2025, compared to a net profit of ZMW39.85 billion
in 2024.
----------
BioPharma Credit PLC - London-based closed-ended investment company focused on the life sciences industry - Completes the sale of its indirect stake in Lumira SAS (Colombia), marking the conclusion of its USD419 million investment in the LumiraDx group that began in March 2021. The specialist life sciences debt investor says the disposal, completed on August 14, together with proceeds from LumiraDx's 2024 sale of its point-of-care diagnostics business to Roche Diagnostics and interest received over the investment period, has enabled it to recover around 101% of its principal investment on both a gross and net basis. The former UK holding company for Lumira Colombia, in which BioPharma Credit held its indirect interest, will now be wound up.
----------
Atome PLC - Leeds, England-based green fertiliser project developer - Enters into an agreement with a multilateral development bank's dollar fund pursuant to which the fund has agreed to provide financial and technical support to develop, subject to certain terms and conditions, a feasibility study for the implementation of Atome's projected 300 megawatt peak solar PV project located near the Villeta green fertiliser plant in Villeta, Paraguay.
----------
Bradda Head Lithium Ltd - North American-focused lithium explorer and owner of the Basin project in Arizona - Announces the commencement of its infill exploration drilling programme at its Whistlejacket Lithium pegmatite project, which is subject to the company's option to joint venture agreement with Kennecott Exploration Co. Explains that the campaign represents an "important" next step in evaluating the scale, continuity and grade potential of the lithium mineralisation at Whistlejacket and advancing the project towards resource definition. Executive Chair Ian Stalker says: "The programme targets priority lithium-bearing pegmatites identified through extensive mapping, sampling and historical drilling, with the objective of demonstrating further scale and continuity of mineralisation across Whistlejacket and move towards a Maiden Mineral Resource Estimate."
----------
Theracryf PLC - Cheshire, England-based pharmaceutical firm focused on cancer and brain disorders - Plans to raise GBP1.1 million via a placing and subscription with existing and new investors at 0.18 pence per share. Use of proceeds to be focused on completing the clinic-enabling programme for the company's lead Orexin-1 antagonist addiction asset with the aim of securing a partnering/out-licensing deal to support the future costs of the programme following incoming expressions of interest on its neuropsychiatry assets and positive feedback from its partnering outreach programme. Notes the Ox-1 programme has made considerable progress, with the final stages of preclinical development proceeding ahead of plan. Financing extends cash runway to end Q1 2027. Theracryf says it remains on track to obtain approval for phase 1 clinical trials by the end of 2026, a milestone expected to enhance partnering opportunities. Turner Pope is acting as joint broker and lead bookrunner to the company and Singer Capital Markets is acting as nominated adviser and joint broker.
