TRADING UPDATES: Kitwave performs ahead of expectations in second half

26th Nov 2021 11:53

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of updates by London-listed companies, issued on Friday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

Kitwave Group PLC - food wholesaler - In the second half of its financial year that ended October 31, revenue performance was ahead of expectations as volumes in most of its business segments returned to pre-pandemic levels. As a result, adjusted operating profit has also been ahead of expectations. Kitwave remains unaffected by the issues surrounding heavy goods vehicle drivers due to having its own in-house fleet. Also, the group has seen the first signs of inflation in its cost base; however Kitwave does not expect profitability to be affected. Promotes Operations Director Ben Maxted to chief operating officer with immediate effect after 10 years in the company since 2011.

----------

Helios Underwriting PLC - London-based investment vehicle that acquires and consolidates underwriting capacity at Lloyd's - As at November 25, total capacity for its 2021 year of account stands at GBP132.9 million, up 29% from GBP103.4 million for the 2020 year of account, driven by the completion of several limited liability vehicle acquisitions.

----------

Symphony International Holdings Ltd - Hong Kong-based investor - As at September 30, net asset value per share stands at 78 US cents, down 5.5% from 82.54 cents at the end of June, attributed to a dividend payment made by the company in the third quarter, and a drop in the value of unlisted investments due to a depreciation in the Thai baht.

----------

BMO Private Equity Trust PLC - investment in unlisted companies - As at September 30, net asset value per share is 588.06 pence, up 51% from 388.68p a year before. NAV total return for the third quarter of 2021 is 7.2%. Total realisations in the quarter amount to GBP48.5 million, while for the nine month period the figure reaches a record GBP120.8 million. Declares quarterly dividend of 5.27 pence per share.

----------

As at September 30, NAV per share rises 13% to 347.0p from 305.8p a year ago. Holdings as of October 31 include drug maker Moderna Inc and electric car maker Tesla Inc.

----------

Chelverton UK Dividend Trust PLC - seeks income through investments in mid to small-cap UK companies - As at October 31, NAV per share dips 0.2% to 226.56 pence from 227.07p at the end of April.
