Hercules PLC - Cirencester, England-based labour supply company for the UK infrastructure and construction sectors - Awarded deals from clients in UK water sector, to start in first quarter. The pacts total GBP6.2 million. One deal of around GBP4.2 million has been won within the Thames Water region, while a GBP2 million has been awarded within the Anglian Water region. "All these contracts have been awarded at a time when the UK water sector is undergoing a significant period of investment and transformation," it says. "Hercules expects to continue to secure additional contracts and deliver a wide range of projects over the coming years."

Mears Group PLC - Gloucester, England-based provider of housing and social care - Expects adjusted pretax profit for 2025 at the top end of guidance, amid a strong second half to date. Back in August, it predicted results "modestly ahead of market expectations". Back in June, it said it expected an outcome of GBP54 million, and put consensus at the time at GBP50.9 million. The company did not adjust its pretax profit for 2024 of GBP64.1 million.

IQE PLC - Cardiff-based supplier of advanced wafer products for the semiconductor industry - IQE wins a "multi-year extension" to its deal with Lumentum Holdings Inc, a photonic technology firm. "The extended agreement will build upon the longstanding relationship between the two companies, where IQE's VCSEL expertise has advanced 3D Sensing technologies across Lumentum's broad photonics product portfolio," IQE says.

Proteome Sciences PLC - London-based life sciences company - Wins a third pact from a US biopharmaceutical company, which is using Proteome's spectrometry services to develop an assay. The assay is being developed at the customer's facilities in Frankfurt, Germany. "The new assay will be used to analyse samples from a forthcoming clinical trial due to start at the end of Q1 2026. The next phases of work are anticipated to be similar to the contracts announced in February 2025. A proportion of the work should be completed in the current financial year, with the remainder by the end of Q1 2026," Proteome adds.

Beeks Financial Cloud Group PLC - Glasgow-based cloud computing and connectivity provider for financial markets - Hails two "notable" pact wins for its Beeks' Proximity Cloud offering. A five-year deal has been won with a "major South African bank" and has an initial value of around GBP1.9 million over five years. The deal has the "potential for further expansion". Meanwhile, a foreign exchange broker has expanded use of the Beeks offering, signing an additional GBP2 million extension.

Journeo PLC - Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire-based firm provides information systems and services for transport operators and local authorities - Crime & Fire Defence Systems subsidiary receives purchase orders totalling GBP2.3 million as part of a four-year framework agreement with a "major" UK utility firm. "These initial orders relate to three sites where CFDS will deliver complex, high-security infrastructure protection solutions, applying its specialist expertise to safeguard critical assets and support the continued resilience and integrity of operations," Journeo says.

Eagle Eye Solutions Group PLC - London-based provider of software-as-a-service marketing solutions - Wins three-year deal with a "large regional US grocery supermarket chain" which will use Eagle Eye's challenges and personalized promotion ranking offering. "The contract comprises a six-month proof of concept for a fixed fee across a subset of the grocer's customers, with the intention of rolling into a three-year SaaS-based contract across the wider customer base," Eagle Eye says. The chain operates 500 stores largely in nine states, Eagle Eye explains. The firm adds: "This win, following the multi-year contract with a large North American food retailer announced last month, builds on Eagle Eye's progress in the North American market and the growing success of its reinvigorated sales initiatives."

Thruvision Group PLC - Abingdon, England-based provider of walkthrough people-screening technology - Receives an "imminent contract award" to support aviation worker screening services in a "large Pacific Northwest airport" in the US. The possible deal is from an existing customer and final award is "subject to completion of standard procurement and approval processes". "This award demonstrates that Thruvision's solutions meet the requirements of the [Transportation Security Administration] mandate on aviation worker screening and the company will be promoting its solution at the American Association of Airport Executives Annual Aviation Security Summit this week.
