TRADING UPDATES: Helix Montana regulator woes; Bytes chair resigns

3rd Sep 2026 22:06

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of earnings and trading updates by London-listed companies, issued on Thursday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

Helix Exploration PLC - London-based helium miner focused on Montana in the US - Updates on its Rudyard facility in Montana. Says it has completed three tube trailer sales to its industrial gases customer pursuant to a short-term spot sales arrangement. This follows the start of commercial operations in July. Additionally says it has had "positive discussions" with the customer. The parties have agreed to extend the current short-term agreement through September. However, announces that a regulatory pause in production has been requested in relation to the handling of associated gas, following a visit from the Montana Board of Oil and Gas Conservation. "Due to Helix being the first producer of helium gas in Montana, there are processes in relation to the production of helium gas that have not yet been clearly defined," Helix argues. Says it is "actively working" with the regulator to resolve issues before an October hearing. "Based on precedents for comparable situations, the company is confident that production can be resumed shortly. The board wishes to reinforce that there is no loss of produceable volumes from the regulatory pause and regular operations will be resumed in a timely manner," company says.

----------

Bytes Technology Group PLC - Surrey, England-based provider of enterprise software, including for cyber security and workforce productivity - Chair Patrick De Smedt steps down, to be succeeded by Gavin Rochussen.

----------

Mkango Resources Ltd - Vancouver, Canada-based company focused on production of recycled rare earth magnets, alloys and oxides - Subsidiary Mkango Rare Earths Ltd files an amendment to its registration statement on form F-4 with the US Securities and Exchange Commission in connection with the proposed business combination between MKAR and Crown PropTech Acquisitions. In addition, CPTK and its sponsor have entered into non-redemption agreements with certain funds and accounts managed by subsidiaries of BlackRock Inc in respect of 400,000 CPTK public shares, and MKAR has entered into an amended and restated business combination agreement. Mkango president Alexander Lemon says: "The filing of the Amended form F-4, together with the non-redemption agreements entered into with funds managed by BlackRock and the amended and restated business combination agreement, represents a significant milestone in the process toward completion of the proposed business combination and the expected listing of MKAR on Nasdaq. This progress further reinforces Mkango's position as a significant future producer within the global rare earth supply chain, underpinned by a firm commitment to sustainability amid growing industry demand."
